POP Howard Wolowitz (The Big Bang Theory)

Howard Wolowitz is one of the main characters in the series The Big Bang Theory. Despite his age, he still lives with his mother in Pasadena, California. His relationship with his mother is a caricature of the Jewish mother/son relationship. He is an aerospace engineer in the Department of Applied Physics at Caltech University in California where he works with his friends and colleagues Leonard, Sheldon and Raj, of whom he is best friend. Unlike all of his doctoral friends, he is the only one without a PhD. This "inferiority" does not escape Sheldon, who will often make vexing remarks to him. His relationship with women is the exact opposite of his best friend Raj. Even though he considers himself a romantic, he is obsessed with women and behaves like an inveterate flirt. But in reality, he is rather shy and doesn't have much success with women. His fusional relationship with Raj will be confused with a love relationship, making him one of the comedy sides of the show. In season 3, Penny introduces him to Bernadette, a fellow waitress microbiologist with whom he will have his first lasting relationship.
