POP Dr. Alan Grant (Jurassic Park)

Dr. Alan Grant is a paleontologist in his forties at the center of the first Jurassic Park opus. Mandated by John Hammond to get an expert's endorsement at the opening of his park, Alan Grant is drawn into the heart of an adventure that will surpass him and for which his precious knowledge of dinosaurs will prove to be the best weapons to survive in the face of resurrected giants.

Alan Grant is in couple with Professor Ellie Sattler who accompanies him on the expedition. It soon becomes clear that he is stubborn, has a rather bad temper, hates children and has one and only one passion: dinosaurs. Nevertheless, Dr. Grant reveals himself to be a true adventurer, a protector with John Hammond's grandchildren and open-minded when he discovers that Hammond did manage to recreate dinosaurs.

A dinosaur specialist, and convinced that this species disappeared 65 million years ago, Grant will be fascinated by Jurassic Park, seeing it as an opportunity to study dinosaurs "for real" and to validate all the hypotheses he has founded in recent years. When the dinosaurs regain control of the park, Alan Grant agrees with the more mixed opinions of Ellie and mathematician Ian Malcolm, who puts forward his chaos theory, in which any attempt to control nature is doomed to failure.

Dr. Alan Grant's POP is in the image of the character: an adventurer with the look of Indiana Jones. He wears the perfect outfit for an expedition to an unknown land: reinforced beige trousers, long-sleeved denim shirt, belts with pockets, red bandana and hat screwed on his head.
