POP Iroh (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Iroh, also known as General Iroh, is an important character in the animated series Avatar, the Last Airbender. He is the paternal uncle of Zuko and Azula. He is the eldest son of the former Firelord Azulon and therefore the older brother of Ozai the current Firelord. Iroh is a powerful Fire Master and a member of the Order of the White Lotus. A secret organization in which he holds the title of "Great Lotus" the highest rank which shows the power and wisdom of this old man. After Zuko was banished by his father Ozai, Iroh accompanied and took under his wing his young nephew by helping him in his search for the Avatar and also in the perfection of his Firebending.

Iroh is a wise old man, very thoughtful, calm and respectful, a lover of high quality teas. He has a profoundly pacifist attitude which is in stark contrast to the temperament and mentality of the Fire Nation soldiers. He is a bon vivant who enjoys the good things in life. In addition, he often advises his nephew Zuko and tries to help him find his own way with his wise counsel, kindness and little jokes. Iroh considers Zuko as his own son, having lost his only son in battle. General Iroh will eventually change Zuko with time and the adventures they will have together.

Iroh is an excellent and formidable Firebender, and it is said that if the Avatar could not defeat Lord Ozai, he would be the only one capable of doing so. His mastery of fire is different from that of the average Fire Nation soldier, who bases his strength on anger. Iroh, on the other hand, has a very different philosophy, he has based his style, his mastery on the original wisdom of dragons, emphasizing the beauty of flames. But this does not detract from the power of his flames and his attacks. In addition, he also knows how to generate lightning, a very powerful attack, superior to the power of fire that only a handful of masters know how to use. He also invented the lightning redirection technique that he taught to his nephew Zuko, a technique that is quite difficult to master, allowing to defend oneself against a person mastering lightning.
