POP action figure of Zuko flame daggers (Chase) #538
Zuko is the main antagonist of the anime series Avatar, the Last Airbender. He is the eldest son of Firelord Ozai and thus Azula's older brother. Zuko is easily recognizable by his characteristic scar on the left side of his face. It was inflicted on him by his father, Firelord Ozai, shortly before his exile following an incident in which Zuko unintentionally disrespected him by refusing to duel in an Agni Kai. The Agni Kai is a traditional duel between firebenders dating back centuries that is only won when one burns his opponent. The young prince's only goal is to capture Aang, the new Avatar, in order to regain his honor and the recognition of his father.
The young man during his quest is supported by his uncle, General Iroh. Moreover, it is with Iroh's help that Zuko was able to change to finally accept himself as he is, and thus reject the quest for his lost honor and the search for the Avatar. He goes from a proud and arrogant young boy who often lets his anger get the better of him to a calmer, more composed young man with new goals in mind. Later in his adventure, he finally joins Avatar Aang, even becoming his friend and teaching him to master fire. Zuko will help him end the war created by the Fire Nation. While Aang defeated Ozai, he took on the task of defeating his younger sister Azula the Fire Lord during a legendary Agni Kai. Zuko then took his place as the Fire Nation's Lord.
Zuko, unlike his younger sister Azula, had no particular talent for firebending. With the help of his uncle's advice and days of training, he became a great and powerful Firebender, finding his strength in calm rather than anger like all other Firebenders. Zuko will even surpass his sister as a prodigy by the end of the series. The young prince is also able to redirect lightning, a powerful technique that Iroh taught him. He will redirect the lightning of his father and his sister, both surprised by the evolution of Zuko. In addition to his Firebending powers, he is also very agile and fast at unarmed combat and swordplay. Zuko is a specialist in handling two swords.
Through this POP figure, Funko introduces Zuko the future Lord of the Fire Nation and Aang's main enemy during the Avatar animated series. Zuko, always recognizable with his huge burn on his face, is equipped with a typical Fire Nation armor, composed of a protection covering his upper body of dark red color and a protection protecting his thighs, of the same color. Under this armor, he is dressed in gray pants and he also wears gray pointed boots. The young man on this POP is using one of his favorite techniques with his Firebending, the fire daggers. These daggers are generated by his manipulation of fire, he holds them in both hands. This technique allows him to both cut and burn anything he touches.
