POP Jacob Kowalski (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them)

Jacob Kowalski is certainly one of the funniest characters in the first opus of Fantastic Beasts. And for good reason: he is simply a Muggle who has been dragged into the magical world in spite of himself. Why is that? Simply because he finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time when Newt Scamander loses all his animals.

But we will tell you a little more about the story of this character. Indeed, Jacob Kowalski was born in Brooklyn, New York. He will spend a large part of his life there, since he will never have the idea or the desire to see what happens in other American cities. He likes New York, but also its dynamism. You should also know that Jacob Kowalski will be a soldier during the First World War. Indeed, he will be sent to France to defend this country against the German invasion. But it was not only six years later that he decided to return to France: he particularly misses his country and his family. Let us also note that Jacob Kowalski has, in mind, to start a family, but also to open a bakery-pastry shop in New York. When he is back, he will find a job in a factory and will simply be in a couple with a certain Mildred, who is also a Muggle. Jacob Kowalski is therefore far from imagining what his life could be like once he gets to know Newt Scamander, but also the magical world.

The first time we can see Jacob Kowalski is simply when he meets Newt Scamander in the first opus of the film «Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them ". Indeed, he will meet Newt Scamander when he goes to the bank to ask for a loan for his bakery-pastry shop. But in spite of himself, he will be dragged into a magical adventure from which he will not really be able to escape. In any case, this will create a real relationship between the two characters since they will live extraordinary adventures: moreover, Jacob Kowalski will set off in spite of himself to meet the fantastic animals in Newt Scamander's suitcase.

Concerning the funko pop figurine that you can see, it is really representative of Jacob Kowalski's character, perhaps less coated. Indeed, the figurines have templates and it is not possible to play on their size or weight. But we can perfectly recognize the character of Jacob Kowalski. It is not a character who puts color in the clothes he wears. That's why this figurine wears rather sober colors. Let us also note that he does not have a magic wand: it is rather a good sign since he is a Muggle character. So he does not know the world of magic. At least, not before his meeting with Newt Scamander.
