POP Erwin (Attack on Titan (SNK))

Erwin Smith is a secondary character in the Attack of the Titans. Playing a major role in the plot, Erwin is known to be the 13th major of the exploration battalion. Both soldier and commander of the Exploration Battalion, Erwin Smith does not hesitate to sacrifice his men for the future of humanity. Even though he is an outstanding warrior, Erwin remains obsessed with his childhood dream of unlocking the secrets of the world he lives in and fights for.

The attack of the Titans takes place during a time when humanity is forced to live within walls to protect itself from terrifying creatures called: titans. The walls, three in number, had not failed in their mission until then. Unfortunately, in 845, the illusory peace that had reigned within the walls for decades, will come to an end with the fall of the Maria Wall.

To better understand the character of Erwin, it is necessary to retrace his childhood. Erwin Smith's father was a brilliant teacher, and above all, driven by the desire to unravel the mysteries surrounding the world. One day, while they were in class, Erwin asked a question that his father as a teacher could not answer. However, once at home and in small groups, father Erwin shared with his son a heretical theory that: the official textbooks distributed by the state contain many contradictions. As a result of this discussion, many conspiracy theories sprang up in Erwin's mind. Still carefree and innocent, the young child that Erwin was at that time, shared his theories with his comrades. Unfortunately, some time later, his father died in a mysterious accident while on a trip to another city. Erwin Smith was then convinced of only one thing: his father had just been murdered...

From then on, Erwin decided to devote his life to proving the truth of his late father's theories. Unfortunately, he could not achieve his dream before death took him.
