POP Ymir (Attack on Titan (SNK))

Ymir is a secondary character in the work of Hajime Isayama, the Attack of the Titans. Beneath her cynical and arrogant appearance, Ymir knows how to be attentive to the people she loves. In particular, she is very close to Historia Reiss, known as Christa at the beginning of the story. A graduate of the 104th Training Brigade and a member of the Exploration Battalion, Ymir carries a heavy secret within her. Perceived as a human being in the eyes of all, Ymir actually possesses the ability to transform herself into a titan...

The plot of the Attack of the Titans takes part in a world where humanity lives in seclusion and surrounded by walls. There are three of these walls to protect humans from terrifying creatures: the titans. In 845, the course of history was totally upset by the fall of the Maria Wall, destroyed by titans.

Ymir's story begins far away from the Maria Wall. When she was just a child, Ymir was taken in by a person, resembling a man of the cloth. She was then taken to a kind of chapel. She was then presented by this man as a royal descendant, although she had no blood ties to the royal line. Ymir found herself with many worshippers who worshipped her. Ymir's fate was completely changed when she and her worshippers were arrested by Mahrs soldiers. The soldiers inflicted a terrible punishment on Ymir, turning her into a Titan and sending her to the Island of Paradise, the place where the plot of the Attack of the Titans begins.

Ymir wandered around as a titan for 60 years, before being able to find his human form again. By devouring Marcel Gaillard, holder of a primordial titan, she was finally able to become human again in 845 and at the same time robbed him of his power. After this event, Ymir settled within the walls. She lived for a time in hiding in the Sina Wall, which allowed her to overhear a compromising conversation about a woman named Historia Reiss. Fascinated by this young woman who looks so much like her, Ymir will then have only one objective: to meet Historia Reiss.

It was when she joined the 104th Training Brigade that she was able to meet Historia Reiss, known as Christa at that time in history. Throughout history, Ymir will be led to reveal her true identity, with the sole aim of protecting Historia. Moreover, it is her love for Historia that will lead to her loss...
