POP William Wallace (Bloody) (Braveheart)

Wallace is the main character in Braveheart. Interpreted by Mel Gibson, the film takes place in the 13th century in Scotland, then under English occupation. King Edward I of England reigns over this country and imposes his law.

William Wallace, as for him, was raised abroad after his father and brother were killed by the soldiers of the King of England. He returns to Scotland, determined to marry his childhood sweetheart and live a peasant life far from the political and warlike turmoil.

Nevertheless, misfortune strikes Wallace again when his wife is killed by a sheriff in the king's pay. This event is the trigger that engages William Wallace at the head of the struggle for Scottish independence.

Wallace goes to war against the King of England, refusing all the King's offers to quell the rebellion. William Wallace fights on all fronts, on the battlefield against English soldiers, as well as in politics, trying to rally English and Scottish nobles to his cause.

Wallace will end up being captured, betrayed by some of his relatives, and driven to London to be tried. The Scottish hero then refuses to ask for mercy from the king and chooses to be tortured. He will cry "freedom" in his suffering before being beheaded.

William Wallace's struggle did not end with his death, and his memory continues to unite the Scots until they gained their final independence a few years after his death.

William Wallace's POP Bloody action figure in Braveheart features the character in his fighter's outfit. He wears his armor to protect his chest, but also a kilt over it. The kilt is green checkered, and is tied over the warrior's shoulder.
