Van Gogh is one of the most famous painters in the world whose works oscillate between different currents: naturalism, pointillism and expressionism. His paintings are as famous as the life of Van Gogh himself, as the many letters he exchanged with his brother Theo have allowed us to retrace the life and states of mind of the artist.

Born in 1853 in Groot Zundert in the Netherlands and died in 1890 in Auvers-sur-Oise in France, Vincent Van Gogh's life was short (37 years) but he left behind him a great many works, a large part of which are exhibited in Amsterdam at the Van Gogh Museum. The most striking thing is that Van Gogh only started painting 10 years before he died, when he decided to move to the South of France.

Van Gogh's numerous paintings can be classified as self-portraits, paintings in a style inspired by Japaneseism, series in which he often depicted nature, night paintings or copies of other paintings. Among Van Gogh's best-known works are The Starry Night, The Self-Portrait, The Apple Eaters and The Chair and its Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear.

All the letters exchanged with his brother Theo Van Gogh, which are personal correspondences, reflect the life of the artist. They relate Van Gogh's feelings, his relationship to art, his vision of his own life and the torments he faces.

On this Van Gogh's POP figurine, Funko pays tribute to the artist in the middle of his work, as we find Vincent Van Gogh, brush in hand, painting. One can perfectly recognize Van Gogh with his hair and his red beard, his simple clothes (a long light blue work blouse and brown pants).

The details of the figurine are perfect: the palette with the piles of paint faithful to the colors frequently used by the artist or the straw hat he wears on his head, a wink to the south of France where he had settled to paint and to some of his self-portraits where he painted himself wearing this hat.
