POP Rubeus Hagrid (Holiday) (Supersized 6'') (Harry Potter)

Hagrid is one of the important characters in the Harry Potter saga, a literary series adapted to cinema in 8 films. In this saga, we follow the adventures of a young orphan Harry, who discovers at the age of eleven that he has gifts because he is a wizard. Hagrid visits Harry on his birthday with a cake and will reveal the truth about his parents who were killed by the terrible wizard Voldemort when he was only one year old. He hands him a letter from the prestigious school of witchcraft: Harry joins Hogwarts! Hagrid will accompany him in the purchases of supplies for the return to school and offers him an owl named Edwidge.

Hagrid is born from a human sorcerer and the giant Fridluva. He is thus half giant. He was a student at Hogwarts in the Gryffindor house but is wrongly dismissed during his schooling when he is accused by Tom Jedusor (Voldemort) of having freed the monster from the Chamber of Secrets. Dumbledore, who believes in his innocence, arranges for him to remain at Hogwarts and makes him the gamekeeper. When Harry's parents are murdered, he retrieves Harry as a baby and gives him to his aunt. On the first day of school at Hogwarts, Hagrid greets the students and takes them by boat to the castle. As soon as they arrive at the school, the half-giant quickly becomes attached to Harry and his two friends Ron and Hermione.

On this pop! figurine, Hagrid's Holiday/Christmas version, Funko represents him at Christmas time. He holds in his right hand the snow-covered tree he has just cut down for the big hall. He is wearing his usual clothes, the big brown coat with different pieces of furs and a pair of boots. We find his pants of the same color and under the coat, a large tunic in brown-red tones accessorized with a big black belt. We can also see that Funko has reproduced nice details on the tunic with golden buttons. Hagrid is represented with his big brown beard as seen in the movie with his long wavy hair covered with snow. His posture is imposing, the size of the tree in relation to his height reminds us that he is half giant.
