Cristina Yang is one of the main characters in the television series Grey's Anatomy. The performer is Sandra Oh, a Canadian actress of South Korean origin. The American series portrays the life of a fictional hospital, Seattle Grace Hospital, and especially the lives of the many doctors and surgeons who work there. The series begins with the arrival of a new class of interns including Cristina Yang. In the first season, we follow the lives of Cristina's interns and her classmates Izzie Stevens, Alex Karev, George O'Malley and Meredith Grey, the main heroine.

Cristina Yang is very bright, graduated at the top of her medical school class and studied at Stanford. She is the best intern in her group. She is quite loyal in friendship and becomes Meredith's best friend and confidant and will not hesitate to support her in the most difficult times.

Cristina is a very ambitious character and her character may lead one to believe that she is indifferent and pretentious but she is rather sensitive. She is a strong woman, she can endure very difficult things without shedding a tear, but only on the surface.

When she was only nine years old, her father died in a car accident. Help didn't arrive in time and he died before her eyes, drained of his blood. That's why she decided to become a doctor.

In the first season, she had a relationship with Dr. Burke and became pregnant. She decides to make an appointment to have an abortion but is confronted with a pregnant woman with cancer...
