POP Itachi with Crows (Naruto Shippuden)

Itachi Uchiha is the most infamous representative of his clan. A clan which, however, includes many figures famous for their high atrocity as it was the case of Madara Uchiha.

Originally, Itachi was the child prodigy of his clan. At a very young age, he had already become a Jônin while his classmates were just beginning to enter the Genin ranks. His prowess made him stand out and it wasn't long before he became one of Konoha's elite ninjas, allowing him to join the Anbu, a special body of shinobi charged with protecting the village in the shadows.

Everything led him to believe that Itachi would be the most illustrious representative of his clan and, as such, would be able to honor the Uchiha. However, everything was not so simple because in reality, the young boy of the time had found himself trapped in the middle of a plot with complex ramifications and crucial stakes. From this plot, Itachi came out particularly dirty since he was responsible for the extermination of the Uchiha clan. After the massacre, Itachi left only his younger brother, Sasuke, behind, urging him to seek revenge on him.

In many ways, Itachi is a monster. A monster of power and a monster of cruelty. One of those cold and relentless cruelties that nothing shakes. Always calm and composed, he seems to be above everything at all times. After his desertion, he will be categorized as a Nukenin (ninja deserter) and will join the Akatsuki which had just been founded in the shadow. He will be then one of the most famous members, teaming up with the no less monstrous Kisame.

Itachi came back to Konoha with Kisame in order to seize Naruto who carries in him the Kyubi they were trying to extract. Jiraiya prevented them from doing so, forcing them to flee as soon as possible. When he came back, 3 years later, Itachi showed his power: the Mangekyô Sharingan. It is then a formidable Genjutsu (jutsu of illusion) with which he had even managed to defeat Kakashi with a single glance. The power of the Mangekyô Sharingan created an illusion that gave the impression of torturing his opponent for 72 hours in one second.

Using many Genjutsus, he often appears surrounded by illusions of crows which he uses to mask his attacks or his escape.
