DC Super Heroes Batman as Ebenezer Scrooge #0355 Funko Pop! figure

Batman is the hero who watches over Gotham City. His real identity is Bruce Wayne, a young billionaire heir to the empire founded by his father. As a child, Bruce sees his parents murdered in front of him by a thief and will never recover from this ordeal. This is the trigger that will push the young man to go to war against crime and try to save his mafia-ridden city.

Bruce then trains for combat, develops state-of-the-art weapons using his fortune and the genius of Lucius Fox, and finds an ally in one of the city's few uncorrupted police officers: Commissioner James Gordon.

Eaten away by his demons, every battle and every enemy leaves scars on Bruce Wayne. Wayne always finds refuge with Alfred, the Waynes' butler who has watched over him since childhood. But Gotham's growing crime rate and threats to the world leave the Batman no respite, forcing him to don his vigilante uniform like a modern-day knight...

For this Batman POP action figure unveiled for Christmas, the Gotham vigilante wears a rather special outfit in homage to Charles Dickens' tale, dressed as Ebenezer Scrooge, an embittered old man who hates the holidays. This reminds us of the dark side of the Batman!

So we find Bruce in his pyjamas, his eyes tired. He wears a blue-striped nightgown on his head and a candle in his hand to light it. Funko has also pushed the details to the point of representing the booties in the shape of little Batman!

On this Batman figurine, you can feel that Bruce Wayne is not in the mood, just like old Scrooge was hating Christmas until he was visited by little ghosts reminding him of the true meaning of life and the place of happiness in it. A very successful diversion of the tale for this Batman POP celebrating Christmas.
