On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Funko continues to reissue the very first POPs that made the brand's success. These POPs are offered in a "safe", symbolizing the "Vaulted" character of the figurines (when the POPs molds are definitively put in the closet...) and allow collectors to access to pieces almost impossible to find unless you pay a lot...
After Batman and Lotso, here is the third "Classics" POP and it's about DC's super villain: the Joker! It's a rather "original" version of the Joker that we discover with his green hair, his purple costume and especially his terrifying smile. Like all the first POPs of the time, he stands with his arms simply extended along his body and his fists closed.
He is one of the most beloved characters in the DC universe and one of the most "popified" by Funko, so it's no surprise that the Joker joins his longtime enemy in this special edition. It is the "reproduction" of the POP heroes #06 of the DC Universe set, with the difference that the Joker 2023 is on a base mentioning "Year One" and taking the city line of Gotham as it was done on the Batman POP.
As for this special 25 years Funko series, the POPs are inside a boxed set that contains the POP (in its box with the anniversary sticker), an enamel pin, a stainless steel collector's item and finally a card that acts as a certificate of authenticity with the biographical information of the character! The whole can be presented on a shelf in the box simply opened, it is very elegant.
Be careful though, these figurines are only edited to 25.000 copies, so don't hesitate if you want to add them to your collection ....
