This isn't the first time Funko has produced a POP figure in the likeness of rapper Snoop Dogg, but every time it's an event. Even more so when the brand offers not one new figure, but 4, including some exceptional ones. So, let's take a tour of the eccentric looks of Dr Dre's former protégé!
Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, is an American rapper who made his name with the release of his debut album "Doggystyle" in 1993. Since then, he has become one of the world's best-known rappers and has collaborated with numerous artists. Also known for his eccentric personality and love of marijuana, Snoop Dog is a character in his own right.
Over the years, Snoop Dogg has released numerous hit albums, including "Tha Doggfather", "Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told" and "Doggumentary". His iconic songs such as "Gin and Juice", "Drop It Like It's Hot" and "Beautiful" have dominated the charts and been staple anthems of hip-hop culture. So it's only fitting that he should be "rewarded" with some Funko POPs in his likeness.
Funko already offered POPs of the rapper, including the Doggystyle POP Albums, as well as figurines in different looks (fur coat, Lakers T-shirt, etc.), but here are 4 new POPs of Snoop Dogg in different outfits:
- On the first figurine (POP Rocks #324), Snoop Dogg holds a microphone in his hand and wears numerous accessories in shimmering Jamaican colors, including imposing sunglasses;
- The second POP is POP Rocks #341, which features the rapper in a hoodie and sportswear outfit, but with his eyes masked behind sunglasses;
- On POP #342, Funko has immortalized an elegant Snoop Dogg: green pinstripe suit, golden hat and leaning on a cane bearing the word "BOSS";
- Finally, the last POP is a "Supersized" version of Snoop Dogg, a 25cm-tall figure that will be the centerpiece of his fans' collection. This POP is particularly faithful to the rapper, dressed in black with his cap revealing his dreads and gold jewelry (rings, necklace, earrings, etc.).
Whether you're a die-hard Snoop Dogg fan or simply an admirer of the rapper's career, you'll be able to add one of these POPs to your POP Rocks collection!
