DJ Snake is coming to Funko POP, but not for everyone

The French producer is joining the Pop! Rocks lineup with his very own figure, POP #510. The release is scheduled for September 2026, priced at €19.99. There is one catch, though, and it is likely to make things more complicated for collectors outside France.

A French artist in Pop! Rocks is still a rare sight

The Pop! Rocks range includes hundreds of figures, but French artists can still be counted on one hand. Daft Punk paved the way a few years ago. Since then, there has not been much else.

DJ Snake is therefore joining a very exclusive club, and the timing could hardly be better. William Grigahcine has racked up billions of streams with “Turn Down for What”, “Lean On” alongside Major Lazer, “Let Me Love You” with Justin Bieber and “Taki Taki”. He has sold out the Stade de France and performed on the Seine during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It would be hard to find a more fitting candidate to become the next French artist turned into a POP figure.

DJ Snake – POP #510: what we know about the figure

The figure uses the classic format from the range, standing around 10 cm tall, with the artist’s instantly recognizable look: black sunglasses and his signature stage appearance. There is nothing overly elaborate about the sculpt, with Funko opting for a straightforward likeness rather than a more elaborate scene or pose.

The price is slightly higher than the usual €15 to €17 for a standard POP, which can be explained by its special status.

The Fnac exclusive status is the real story behind this release

This is where things get more complicated. The DJ Snake POP is a France-exclusive release distributed by Fnac, and it comes with a “Special Edition” sticker. Two details that make a major difference for collectors.

A regional exclusive means the figure will not be distributed through the usual retail channels elsewhere in Europe or in the United States. International buyers will have to rely on the resale market, and prices already seen on international reseller websites are well above €70 for a figure officially priced at €19.99 in France.

In other words, if you are in France, you have privileged access to a collectible that buyers elsewhere in the world may have to pay three or four times the retail price to obtain. It is not often that things work this way around.

Should you pre-order it?

For this kind of release, the answer is probably yes, and sooner rather than later. Fnac exclusives tend to sell out quickly, and this one combines three factors that can drive up prices on the secondary market: distribution limited to a single country, a single retailer, and an artist with a very large international fanbase.

For collectors of the Pop! Rocks range, this is a figure worth securing now rather than trying to find six months from now. For DJ Snake fans, it is simply the first opportunity to put him on their shelf.
