POP The Deep (The Boys)

The Boys takes place in a world where the characters are considered superheroes by the public and work for the powerful company Vought International, which is in charge of their promotion and marketing. Far from their heroic appearance, most of them are corrupt and arrogant, even dangerous, mental patients. The series focuses on two groups: the Group of Seven, Walt's first superhero team, and the boy of the same name, a volunteer cop who seeks to bring down Walt and his corrupt superhero. The boys are led by Billy Butcher, who despises all superheroes, and the group of Seven is led by Homelander, who is a narcissistic and violent psychiatric patient.

Early in the series, after a member of the Sevens named A-Train accidentally kills his girlfriend Robin, Huey Campbell joins the boys, and young heroine Anne Jane Yue (named after the superhero Starlight) joins the Group of Seven with some luck, who will have to face the terrible truth about the people she admires so much. The other members of the Group of Seven are the disillusioned Queen Maeve, the addicted A-Train, the unbalanced Mermaid (the original version of The Deep), the invisible Translucent and the mysterious Black Noir.

In the second season, the Supreme Storm Front will join the organization and become the central figure. The boys are executed by the tactician La Crème (mother's milk in English), the weapons expert Serge dit Le Français (French) and the girl Kimiko (female) who injected the mysterious "Compound V" against her will. Madelyn Stillwell is an executive at Vought and supervises the team of seven.

The Deep tells Starlight that he is the number two person in the Seven, just behind Homelander in terms of importance to the group. He then threatens Starlight with expulsion from the group and she finally submits to the blackmail. Starlight then informs him that she has since learned that the Deep lied about his importance to the group and that he is in fact considered a "joke". She then threatens to burn his eyes out if he touches her again. Deep is visibly shaken by her threats, but tries to maintain a calm facade.

After Starlight reveals at the Believe show that she was sexually assaulted, Madelyn Stillwell confronts The Deep, correctly deducing that he was Starlight's assailant because of his history of sexual assault. Vought worries about his stock dropping and the negative publicity that would result, leading her to force The Deep to make a public apology to Starlight.

On the Deep POP, we find the young man in his green and gold hero costume. The patterns with the scales are perfectly represented and remind the status of Lord of the Seven Seas of The Deep. Finally, Funko did not make a mistake by representing The Deep with his hands on his hips, in a posture that shows that the man is confident!
