POP Nala (The Lion King)

Nala, which means "luck" in Swahili, is one of the important characters in the Disney cartoon The Lion King. It tells the story of Simba, the hero of the cartoon, son of Mufasa and heir to the throne in the Land of Lions. As a child, Simba will live a joyful and carefree early childhood alongside Nala, daughter of Sarafina and Mufasa. Nala is a light-coloured lioness with blue-green eyes. From the same generation as Simba, she is her childhood friend, always ready to accompany her in her adventures. Thus she finds herself exploring the elephant cemetery with Simba despite Mufasa's ban. Simba is disgusted that the butler, Zazu accompanies them on this exploration, but fortunately for these two lion cubs that the hornbill was there! Indeed, Simba and Nala find themselves pursued by the hyenas who were waiting to eliminate them on Scar's orders. Mufasa, warned by Zazu of the danger the two cubs were in, intervenes and saves them from the hyenas' claws. Following a betrayal by his brother Scar, Mufasa dies trying to save Simba's life. Guilty of this death, Simba disappears into the desert where he is taken in by Timon and Pumbaa. It is at this point that the two cubs separate. Nala and the other lions live under the reign of Scar. One day, while searching for food, they hunt Pumbaa. She then finds herself in a fight with Simba, who recognizes her! She is happy to hear that he is alive and asks Simba to return to the Land of the Lions to take her place and hunt her uncle Scar to end his tyrannical reign.

On this Pop! figurine, Nala is represented when she is still young, at the beginning of the cartoon. She is sitting with her little tail ending in a feather duster that comes back to the front. She has big black eyes, slightly closed and has a mocking smile with two small white teeth. We recognize her light beige and yellow coat, her small tuft of hair on the collar and her large legs.
