POP William Wallace (Braveheart)

William Wallace is the hero of the film Braveheart, which traces the history of the struggle for Scottish independence. The film takes place in the 13th century when King Edward I of England occupies Scotland and imposes a cruel law.

William Wallace is a peasant, he has just secretly married Murron MacClannough, his childhood sweetheart, and intends to live a life away from the troubles imposed by the English. Unfortunately, the sheriff slits his wife's throat and triggers Wallace's thirst for revenge. Wallace first slits the sheriff's throat and then gathers men together to conquer Scotland's independence.

In his fight, Wallace wins on the battlefields inflicting great defeats on the English soldiers, but he knows that if he wants to succeed in pushing back the king, he will have to find political allies as well.

Edward I, wanting to put an end to this rebellion, sends his son the Prince of Wales to negotiate. William Wallace will refuse the promised land to continue his fight. Betrayed by allies, Wallace is captured by the English and brought to London.

In London, William Wallace will refuse to beg the King's forgiveness and will be tortured to death. His last cry will be "Freedom" and his wish will be granted a few years later because his fight will continue beyond his death for Scotland to regain its independence.

The figurine POP of William Wallace in Braveheart takes again the physical features of the actor Mel Gibson who interprets it. We find a man with long braided hair, with a rather wild physique and an imposing musculature.
