Bernadette is one of the female characters in the series The Big Bang Theory. She appears in season 3 as Penny's colleague at the Cheesecake Factory where she works to pay for her microbiology studies. Penny introduces her to her friend Howard. At first, they don't get along too well but when they discover that they both have an overbearing mother, they get closer and end up dating. They end up getting married and even having two kids: Halley and Neil Michael Wolowitz.
She forms the female "trio" with Penny and Amy. Bernadette is a character whose look and style of dress is very wise and her small voice contrasts with her authoritarian borderline character.
