About the Moana and Kakamora #0000 POP! figure

Moana is the main character in the eponymous Disney drawing, freely inspired by a thousand-year-old Polynesian legend. This legend tells that the goddess Te Fiti created the world and the islands around it thanks to her magical heart. One day, the demigod Maui steals her jade stone heart to give it to men. Deprived of her heart, Te Fiti disintegrates. Deprived of her heart and spreads chaos around, Maui loses her magic hook as she is attacked by the demon Te Ka who also coveted the heart. The hook and the heart then disappear into the depths of the ocean.

A thousand years later, this legend is told by Tala to her granddaughter Moana. Moana is the daughter of Tui, chief of the Motunui tribe, so she will take the chief's place when she grows up. But the story has another destiny in store for her, since the ocean chose her to restore Te Fiti's heart. While she is still very small, the ocean gives her the jade stone while she is collecting shells. Unfortunately, she loses the stone when her father comes to take it away from the water.

A few years later, life on the island is dying: there are no more fish and the coconuts are rotting. The tribe is running out of food to live on. Moana then proposes to go beyond the reef to catch fish but his father forbids him to do so. Tala then reveals to her granddaughter the existence of a secret cave that hides the boats of her ancestors, great travelers... She also entrusts her with the jade stone she found when she was a child and encourages her to start her journey now to fulfill her destiny: that of restoring Te Fiti's heart. Moana then takes the boat and leaves in search of Maui to help her find Te Fiti. His little pig Pua and his rooster Hei Hei will be his traveling companions. In their adventure, they will meet many enemies including kakamora pirates. These are creatures that carry coconuts for protection. They are formidable enemies and will do anything to try to steal the stone.

In this Pop! pack, Moana is represented with a kakamora in the outfit she wears throughout the cartoon: a straw loincloth under a skirt made of several layers of beige fabric with Polynesian patterns represented in detail by Funko. She also wears a coral-colored top that reminds the belt that holds the skirt. She is also seen wearing her blue necklace containing the jade stone. We recognize her brown skin and long curly hair styled in the back. On this figurine, Moana extends her right hand to control the protective seawater wave represented by a transparent blue and a shape that gives the impression of movement. Next to Moana, the pirate is depicted with his yellow hat made of a diodon with a spear made of a sawfish bone. His face is very aggressive, his face is drawn on the coconut where he shows his sharp teeth and the nasty look. His arms and legs protrude from his armour.
