What are the Funko 2022 advent calendars?
While summer is in full swing, Funko is blowing a winter wind on our vacations by unveiling the Advent calendars for Christmas 2022. This year (and so far), Funko has unveiled 4 calendars and opted for some heavyweights in terms of licensing. I hope Funko has stocked up because they are going to sell like hotcakes...
Indeed, the 4 calendars are part of the most popular licenses: Harry Potter, Disney, Marvel and Star Wars. In short, magic with Harry Potter, a good dose of nostalgia for Mickey fans, superheroes and Jedi will be on the menu this New Year's Eve. It's hard not to find something to suit your taste this year!
Please note: the calendars are already available for pre-order at some merchants (see links below for each calendar), but will only be available in early November. Anyway, they will be in your home for the countdown to Christmas!

Harry Potter Advent calendar 2022
Fifth consecutive year that Funko offers a Harry Potter advent calendar, and we still can't get enough of it! This year, this one promises to be still very successful just by looking at the few clues of the POPs that are inside the calendar box...
Of course, the visuals provided by Funko are still full of surprises, letting us see only 4 characters: the trio Harry, Hermione and Ron, as well as Draco Malfoy! But it is likely that with 24 Pocket POP Harry Potter in this calendar, we will find many characters in the end.
For sure, the Funko POP Harry Potter 2022 calendar will bring the magic touch we all wait for to prepare the end of the year holidays!

Marvel Advent calendar 2022
The Funko POP Marvel advent calendar is back for the second time since Funko offers a calendar featuring the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and other characters of the Marvel universe. Nevertheless, the first calendar dates back to 2019, which seems like an eternity when you know the incredible events that have happened for the MCU since that date!
For the occasion, Funko has put a festive touch on the POPs contained in the Marvel calendar since the characters are dressed to celebrate Christmas. So we discover a Spiderman with a Santa Claus hat on his head, Groot who acts as a Christmas tree with his garland or a Captain America version "gingerbread".
As for the other calendars, only 4 POPs are visible on the box, reserving a maximum of surprise for the fans who will offer it to themselves. The only thing that is almost certain is that all the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy should be on your shelf to celebrate Christmas!

Star Wars Advent calendar 2022
It was one of the bets to take for the 2022 calendars since surprisingly (for such a license), there had never been a Funko POP Star Wars advent calendar. It's now done, and fans of the saga will be able to discover one POP per day until Christmas.
Just like the Marvel calendar, it seems that Funko has also opted for "Christmas" characters in this calendar where we can find a Darth Vader in a red and green suit, a Princess Leia with a snowflake outfit or a Stormtrooper that could easily be mistaken for a snowman!
May the force be with you this Christmas Eve 2022. Get ready to invite Jedi, Sith and other droids from all over the galaxy under your Christmas tree.

Disney Advent calendar 2022
This is the year of the big firsts as Funko is also unveiling a Disney advent calendar. Not much information has been released yet, but it seems that the POPs inside are more in the circle of Mickey and his friends than the Disney princesses. It will therefore be aimed more at fans of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. than at those who swear by Cinderella, The Snow Queen or Mulan. But this is just a guess....
In any case, this would make the Disney Advent calendar the ideal calendar for the purists of the Mickey universe. It's a safe bet that we'll find Mickey and his friends in outfits that are cheerfully reminiscent of the holidays, and they're always great POPs because the Christmas and Disney universes go together so well!

Will Funko announce more calendars for 2022?
Impossible to say at the moment but expectations are high and impatient fans are constantly asking the action figure brand to get the Grail. Among the most requested licenses, the Stranger Things advent calendar seems to be the most awaited but no sign of it for the moment from Funko.
On the anime side, Naruto and One Piece seem to be the most popular at the moment. Note that there was a Pokémon calendar last year and a DBZ in 2020.
Finally, there also seems to be a big wait for Fantastic Animals but it is hard to imagine that this will be the case considering that Funko already proposes a Harry Potter calendar for Christmas 2022, maybe next year...
Without being too pessimistic, Funko has the habit of proposing 4 calendars each year and the count is maybe already there with the four calendars unveiled these last days.
